CLASS B BASEBALL Rondinelli edges past Roth, 7-6



STRUTHERS -- Rondinelli snapped a 4-4 tie as it scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and went on to post a 7-6 victory over Roth Brothers Wednesday in the Class B League at Cene Park.
Brian Chrobek's home run triggered a 12-hit attack by Rondinelli.
Greg Rohan, Dean Palombaro, Gabe McKee and Chrobek each had two hits for the winners. Josh Skraba and Pat Conley led Roth Brothers with two hits apiece.
Riordans 11, Becdir 3: With the score tied 3-3, Riordans broke open the game with a eight run surge in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Mike Smallwood scattered five hits to pick up the win, while James Lade hit two doubles and a single and drove in three runs.
Youngstown Propane 6, Lazart 4: Youngstown Propane held off a late rally by Lazart to prevail.
Michael Krieger went 2-for-3 to pace Propane and he drove in three runs. Dean Stokes hit a triple for Lazart.
Express 7, Astro Falcons 3: Youngstown Express built a 4-1 lead by the end of the third inning and wasn't seriously threatened after that.
Mike Turjanica paced the winners with a pair of doubles and he drove in two runs.
Dan Leonard hit a pair of singles for Astro Falcons and he drove in two runs.
