Featured bands
The purpose of Tune It Up is to offer young adults an opportunity to showcase their talents and offer an activity designed specifically for them. The program will kick off June 19 with Amethyst, a five-piece alternative rock band. They were champions of the Ice Zone Rock Off and performed recently at First Night Youngstown.
June 26, Blue Euphoria will hit the stage. They perform mostly original material and have performed at a number of local venues including Tune It Up 2001.
Tomorrow Sky will start the holiday off July 3. The final concert will be July 10 with heavy rock band Plan 9 from Outer Space.
"It is exciting that the Warren Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is willing to collaborate with FACT to make this teen concert series happen," said Bobbie Brown, FACT director. "The board of trustees of the Fine Arts Council feels this is an important program for the young adults to have the opportunity to express themselves artistically."
All concerts will be in the gazebo in Courthouse Park. Tune It Up is free and open to the public. Additional support for the program was provided by the Ohio Arts Council, a state agency established in 1965 to support community arts programs.
