Parents announce Zappia-Persohn engagement

The engagement of Tanya M. Zappia of Pulaski, Pa., and D. Michael Persohn of East Liverpool is announced by their parents, Linda Zappia of Pulaski, Kathy Persohn of East Liverpool and David Persohn of Georgetown.
The bride-elect also is a daughter of the late Joseph Zappia.
The couple will exchange marriage vows during an open ceremony planned for 1 p.m. July 6 at St. James Church, New Bedford, Pa. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at the Villa Banquet Center in New Castle, Pa.
Miss Zappia is a registered dietitian employed by Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, Pa. She earned a bachelor's degree in applied science at Youngstown State University.
Mr. Persohn graduated from Ohio Northern University in Ada with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine. He is a certified athletic trainer at the Ohio Sports and Spine Institute in Poland.
