Magazine announces 7th annual contest
CLEVELAND -- Ohio Writer magazine, the state's only publication dedicated to Ohio writers, is sponsoring its seventh annual "Best of Ohio Writers" writing contest. The magazine encourages contestants to submit original works in the following categories: fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry and writers on writing (any genre).
In addition to a cash prize of $150, the four first place pieces will be published in the January/February 2003 issue of Ohio Writer. Second place winners will receive $50 and a mention in the magazine. All entrants must be Ohio residents and will receive a subscription to the magazine with their $15 entry fee.
The deadline for the "Best of Ohio Writers" contest is July 31.
