Rapone jubilee is celebrated at reception

STRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rapone, 552 Lincoln Ave., were guests of honor during a reception June 8 at St. Nicholas Church hall on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The honorees' children and spouses were hosts. They are Linda and Rob Rhoads and Cheryl and John Novak, all of Struthers; Debbie and Nick Castor of Poland; Eugene and Connie Rapone of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and David Rapone and Robert J. and Paula Rapone, all of Youngstown.
The former Kathleen Vanik and Mr. Rapone were married June 14, 1952, at St. Nicholas Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Rapone are members of St. Nicholas Church.
Mrs. Rapone is a homemaker.
Retiring in 1990, Mr. Rapone was a bus driver from Western Reserve Transit Authority in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, is a member of American Legion Post 247 and is a musician with the Rocky Chirchiglia Band.
The family circle includes 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
