YOUNGSTOWN -- Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated at 3 p.m. May 11 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for the wedding of Laura Stoops and Zachary Jacobs.
Parents of the bride are James Stoops of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Kathy Stoops of Youngstown. Mr. Jacobs is a son of James and Antoinette Jacobs, 891 Sandalwood Road West, Perrysburg.
A reception followed at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.
They are living in Erie, Pa.
The bride wore a strapless, white satin gown designed with an A-line skirt and detailed with embroidery and pearls.
The bride's sister, Jennifer Bodnark, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were another sister, Erica Ghossain; the groom's sisters, Abby and Elizabeth Jacobs; Debbie Pagano; and Jennifer Udovick. They wore periwinkle gowns. The groom's cousins, Imalia and Kiara Jacobs, were flower girls.
Nicholas Jacobs was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Jeff Stoops, the bride's brother; Scott Herbert; Andrew Res; Kristopher Kelley; and Michael Broerman.
The couple are graduates of Bowling Green State University, she with a bachelor's degree in biology and he with a degree in business finance.
Mrs. Jacobs is a pharmaceutical-sales representative for Boehringer Ingelheim in Erie.
Her husband is a financial analyst with American Express in Erie.
