AUSTINTOWN -- The Rev. Stephen Popovich officiated at 2 p.m. May 11 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church as wedding vows were exchanged by Carrie Pawlik, daughter of Lawrence and Patricia Pawlik, 556 Westgate Blvd., and James Ambrose, son of Donald and Sandra Ambrose, 335 Calvin St., Youngstown.
The couple were honored at a reception at the Italian-American Veterans Centre in Youngstown.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, they are living at 157 S. Kimberly Ave.
The bride wore a sleeveless gown designed with a bolero jacket and embellished with gold floral embroidery. The skirt extended to a cathedral train.
Kimberly Carter was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Carrie Hagan; Dawna Mellott; Tracy Pawlik and Kristy Davenport, the bride's nieces; and Christina Ambrose, the groom's daughter. They wore champagne-colored gowns.
The groom's brother, Donald Ambrose, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Michael Schiavone, Mark Roca and the bride's nephews, Gary and Randy Davenport and Larry Pawlik. Ring bearers were the groom's nephews, Cody and Jason Ambrose.
Mrs. Ambrose graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree and is employed as a billing supervisor for Forum Health/Workmed in Boardman.
Her husband attended YSU and is a supervisor at Indalex Solutions in Niles.
