Here are the road projects the Ohio and Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation are planning to work on in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Mercer counties next week.
MAHONING COUNTY
State Route 165 in Goshen Township, one-half mile west of State Route 45, closed for a culvert replacement. Anticipated reopening: June 19. Detour posted.
Eastbound bridge on I-76 over Lake Milton is closed. All traffic is crossed over and will travel on the westbound bridge, where there will be one lane in each direction. Completion: late fall 2003.
I-80 from State Route 193 to State Route 46 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights and weekends. Two lanes in each direction will be maintained at all other times. Completion: fall 2002.
South Avenue in Boardman is reduced to one lane in each direction between Western Reserve Road and Presidential Drive. Completion: summer 2003.
The U.S. Route 224 Berlin Reservoir bridge is closed and will remain so until October 2002.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
State Route 46 just south of State Route 305 closes for construction today. It is anticipated to open Sunday.
State Route 46 over the Mahoning River is reduced to one lane in each direction. All traffic has been moved to the west side off the bridge. Completion: fall 2003.
State Route 5 just east of State Route 45 is reduced to one lane in each direction for 3,000 feet. Completion: fall 2003.
State Route 45 on ramp to State Route 5/82 Eastbound is closed. Detour posted. Completion: fall 2003.
The driving lanes of State Route 82/State Route 5 in Howland Township are closed. One lane of traffic will be available in each direction and all exit/entrance ramps will remain open. Completion: fall 2003.
MERCER COUNTY
I-80 from the Ohio line to exit 15 is under construction for crack sealing.
The Springfield section of State Route 2007 in Findley Township is under construction for pipe replacement and ditch cleaning.
The Rutledge Road section of State Route 3022 in Pymatuning Township is under construction for pipe replacement and ditch cleaning.
The Airport Road section of State Route 2015 from Route 358 to North Foster Road is being patched.
The Lake Road section of State Route 258 from Mercer to Clark is under construction for shoulder cutting.
The Greenville-Sheakleyville Road section of State Route 4020 is under construction from Sugar Grove Township to Salem Township for ditching.
The Lake Road section of State Route 1013 is closed for paving in Sandy Creek Township. Detour posted.
The Smith Road section of State Route 1010 in Perry Creek Township is closed for paving. Detour posted.
The Sandy Lake-Grove City Road section of State Route 173 is under construction for drainage and widening from Grove City to I-80.
The Scrubgrass Road section of State Route 2014 in Findley Township is under construction for bridge repair.
The Donation Road section of State Route 4025 is under construction for patching from Delaware Township to Hempfield Township.
