Christian concert
BOARDMAN -- Boardman Christian Church will be host for a free Christian concert presented by the Raytown Christian Church, Raytown, Mo., that is on a 10-day tour in Boardman. The choir and bell concert is at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Rosary devotions
AUSTINTOWN -- St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church will have rosary devotions and hymns along with the Supplikatsia, the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, at 7 p.m. June 20. Light refreshments will follow.
Pastors depart
WARREN -- The Rev. Larry Graham-Johnson, associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Warren, and his wife, the Rev. Ann Graham-Johnson, pastor of Liberty Presbyterian Church, will begin their work June 19 as co-pastors of the Vandalia Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, N.C. The couple wanted to work as co-pastors and be closer to their family. They were honored at a recent reception at First Presbyterian.
Evangelist to speak
YOUNGSTOWN -- Evangelist Lori Porter of Mount Zion COGIC in Youngstown will be the guest speaker at 7:30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Mount Haven Missionary Baptist Church in Akron.
New youth services
FARRELL, Pa. -- New and Living Way Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ will have youth services at 6 p.m. Tuesdays starting June 18. There will be gospel teaching and activities. Call (330) 448-1951.
Spiritual program
NORTH JACKSON -- Johnnette Benkovic, founder and director of "Living His Life Abundantly," will be the main speaker when The National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon has a conference day June 15. Her topic is "Seven Keys to Spiritual S.U.C.C.E.S.S." The cost is $35, which includes a main meal, two coffee breaks and four conference talks. Reservations are required. Call (330) 538-3351.
Church opening
GIRARD -- Bishop Robert and Mrs. Beth Saylor have announced the opening of Faith Center of World Ministries, 29 W. Liberty St. The Saylors will direct healing services at noon Thursdays.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sundays under the direction of the Rev. Forrest and Mrs. Gwenda Rupp.
Bible study is at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. The Rev. Dr. Paul Cayavec will be a teacher.
A youth center will open at 7 p.m. Thursday under the direction of Robert J. and Nancy Naef.
JOY Team meeting
YOUNGSTOWN -- The JOY Team (Jesus-Others-Yourselves) of Trinity United Methodist Church seeks to grow in Christ with prayer, Bible study, devotions and service to others. The next meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pastoral changes
ERIE, Pa. -- Bishop Donald W. Trautman of the Catholic Diocese of Erie has announced pastoral changes effective July 1.
The Rev. Jeffrey Lucas will be pastor at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Sharon, Pa., and will be a part-time teacher at Kennedy Catholic High School in Hermitage. He replaces the Rev. Victor Maksimowicz, who will be reassigned.
Father Lucas, 50, has been the Catholic chaplain at Penn State-Behrend and Gannondale, both in Erie, since 2000.
The Rev. Christopher Merry will head St. Joseph Parish in Sharon. He will succeed the Rev. Charles Schmitt, who will become senior associate at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Erie. Father Merry, 43, has been parochial vicar at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish in Bradford, Pa., since 1996.
The Rev. Lawrence Richards will become pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Erie, while continuing as moderator of the Bread of Life Community and as a part-time teacher at Cathedral Preparatory School, both in Erie. He replaces the Rev. John Santor, who will be chaplain to Gannondale, Pleasant Ridge Manor East and Twinbrook Medical Center, all in Erie, while continuing as diocesan coordinator of pastoral outreach for refugees.
Networking conference
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- A conference, "Networking for Kingdom Purposes," sponsored by Antioch International Ministries will be at 7 p.m. June 20-22 at Living Word Church.
Guest speakers will be Dr. John Kelly, who on behalf of Dr. Peter Wagner, leads the International Coalition of Apostles; Dr. Dale Fife, author and pastor; the Rev. Tony Ross, overseer of More Grace Fellowship, a network of ministers; and the Rev. Jim Erb, head of Antioch International Ministries. No registration is required.
Workshop set
MIDDLETON -- A workshop, "Living Prayerfully with Jesus and the Psalms," will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22 at Middleton Friends Meetinghouse. Virginia Schurman, a college microbiology teacher, and Betsy Meyer, a retired securities lawyer, will lead the workshop.
Kidfest offered
GREEN -- Locust Grove Baptist Church will have "Kidfest" from noon to 3 p.m. June 15. There will games, music, food and registration for a vacation Bible school.
Luncheon set
