GROVE CITY, PA. Strawberry Festival begins Thursday
The festival will feature 10 musical acts over its four-day run.
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Music -- from gospel to rock 'n' roll -- will highlight the 12th annual Strawberry Days Art and Music Festival in the borough.
The event takes place Thursday through Sunday at Strawberry Park on the lower campus of Grove City College.
The festival kicks off with a chicken barbecue at 4 p.m. Thursday, and the musical entertainment starts at 4:30 p.m. with Jim Sharp performing pop rock followed by Sug 'R Bear at 7 p.m. offering a mix of country and oldies.
Downtown merchants will be offering special promotions Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the craft and art tent will open at 11 a.m. Friday with about 70 vendors.
Food and various strawberry delights will be sold by nonprofit organizations throughout the festival.

Friday
U 10 a.m.: Children's entertainment begins with clowns and storytelling.
U 3 p.m.: Christian rock music by Warren Throckmorton.
U 4 p.m.: Braised steak dinner at Grace United Methodist Church.
U 4 p.m.: Chris Denim performs as Neil Diamond.
U 7:30 p.m.: Recording artists The Jaggerz perform.
Saturday
U 8:30 a.m.: Free children's movie at The Guthrie Theater.
U 10 a.m.: Storytelling, puppets and a one-man circus.
U 3 p.m.: Penn-Ohio Singers.
U 4 p.m.: The Beer Brothers Blues Band.
U 7 p.m.: "Come Together," a tribute to the late John Lennon.
Sunday
U Noon: "We Are His," singers from Grace United Methodist Church.
U 1:30 p.m.: Caribbean Music Connection.
U 3:30 p.m.: Talent show.
