Court of honor
Sean A. Moore, son of James and Leslie Moore of Canfield, has earned his Eagle award and will receive it at a court of honor Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2205 Tibbetts-Wick Road, Liberty.
Sean is a member of Boy Scout Troop 4089, sponsored by the Mormon church. His scoutmaster is Dr. Craig Wagley of Canfield.
His Eagle Award service project was to repair the music stands throughout the Canfield school band system. Sean and his grandfather, Doug Dellefield, also designed and built a 28-cubicle storage unit for the high school band room to house student supplies.
Sean has earned 30 merit badges. He is member of the Mormon church in Liberty and its youth group. He is a Canfield High School junior, where he is a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society and the track team. He played trumpet in the school's marching band for three years and was a member of its concert band.
Hritz an Eagle Scout
Christopher Hritz, son of Michael and Suzanne Hritz, Salem, received his Eagle Scout Award recently at a court of honor in St. Paul Church, Salem.
Christopher is a member of Buckeye Council Troop 6 at St. Paul and his scoutmaster is Terry McElroy. He has been a member of scouting since 1991 and received the Arrow of Light, the Cub Scout's highest honor, in 1996.
Christopher has earned 25 merit badges and has served as senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, and patrol leader. He also earned the 50-Mile Afloat Award, the Five-Year Pipestone, Boy Scout Lifeguard, and the Historical Trails award.
In 2001, he attended National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia and in 1999, he attended Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. He is a member of Order of the Arrow Sipp-o Lodge 377.
His Eagle service project was to construct a rain shelter along the Greenway Bike Trail in Columbiana County.
He is a junior at Salem High School, where he is a member of the Cross Country Team, National Honor Society, Key Club, Academic Challenge and German Club. Christopher was recently chosen as a delegate to American Legion Buckeye Boys' State this summer at Bowling Green State University.
DOCTORS
Pharmacy graduate
Frank S. Rigelsky, a 1996 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, has received his doctor of pharmacy from the University of Toledo.
Rigelsky, son of Marleen and Jim Thompson and Frank J. Rigelsky of Poland, has accepted a position as a pharmacy practice resident with Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, N.C.
He was recognized with the UT College of Pharmacy Pfizer U.S. Pharmaceuticals Outstanding Leader Award. He also received the Distinguish Service Key and Outstanding Senior Award for his leadership and service as a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity.
Zalewski earns M.D.Pamela Ann Zalewski, daughter of Jane Zalewski of North Water Avenue, Hermitage, and the late Louis J. Zalewski Sr., has received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Dr. Zalewski, valedictorian of her 1994 class at Hickory High School, earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating summa cum laude in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience.
She plans to specialize in psychiatry and will begin her residency in July at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh.
LAWYERS
Wolff earns J.D.
Heidi Hanni Wolff of Boardman, daughter of Atty. Don L. Hanni Jr., recently passed the Ohio Bar exam.
She earned her juris doctorate degree from Capital University Law School in Columbus in December 1999 and her bachelor's degree in communications from Youngstown State University in March 1997. She was a 1981 graduate of Boardman High School.
She is employed as an associate attorney for the law firm of Zipkin, Fink and Whiting in Beachwood and her practice is primarily employment discrimination. She also plans to maintain a part-time general practice with her father in Youngstown.
Atty. Wolff is a single mother of two teen-agers, Bobby,17, and Lyndsy, 15.
