Several local school buildings bear the names of local historical figures and former educators:Frank Ohl Middle School, Austintown: grandson of the founder of Ohltown.
Davis Elementary School, Austintown: John W. Davis, former Mahoning County probate judge.
Watson Elementary School, Austintown: Charles G. Watson, former chairman of Youngstown Welding and Engineering Co.
Woodside Elementary School, Austintown: Clifford M. Woodside, former Mahoning County probate judge.
Lloyd Elementary School, Austintown: Kenneth M. Lloyd, an attorney, Austintown native and former president of the Mahoning Valley Vocational School.
C.H. Campbell Elementary School, Canfield: former Canfield Board of Education president and Mahoning County Board of Education president.
Joshua Dixon Elementary School, Columbiana: one of the founders of Columbiana.
Artman Elementary School, Hermitage, Pa.: Betty Lou Artman, former special education director.
Delahunty Middle School, Hermitage, Pa.: Kenneth Delahunty, a former principal and superintendent.
Reed Middle School, Hubbard: Maude Reed, a former Hubbard teacher.
Bascom Elementary School, LaBrae: A.L. Bascom, former superintendent of Warren Township schools.
