Motorcyclist dies
COLUMBIANA -- A motorcyclist who ran off state Route 558 in Fairfield Township has died from his injuries.
Roy B. Owens, 41, of Millbrook Road, New Waterford, died around 8:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. Owens was taken to the hospital after his motorcycle went off the right side of the road and into a ditch Friday afternoon. The Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Owens, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and hit the pavement. The accident occurred just west of Fairfield School Road.

Crash injures two
GREEN TOWNSHIP -- Munyela Molnar, 24, of Fair Avenue, Salem, was in serious condition in intensive care at Akron City Hospital on Saturday night with injuries suffered in a traffic crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said she was westbound on state Route 165 at about 5 p.m. Saturday when her car ran off the right side of the road and hit several bushes and a utility pole. The patrol said the car then came back onto the road and sideswiped another westbound car, driven by John W. Krumlauf, 87, of Euclid Street, Salem. After the collision, Molnar's car again went off the right side of the road and rolled over. She and Krumlauf were taken to Salem Community Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition. She was flown from there to Akron.
Italian Fest nominations
CANFIELD -- The Greater Youngstown Italian Fest is asking those interested in nominating their fathers or mothers as man or woman of this year's festival to submit letters of nomination giving their parents' history before the June 22 deadline. YOUNGSTOWN -- The Public Library of Youngstown & amp; Mahoning County is taking reservations for two free Grant Center programs June 6 at the main library, 305 Wick Ave. Both are open to representatives from nonprofit organizations.
"Grantseeking Basics: An Orientation to the Funding Research Process," an introduction to the Grant Center collection, will be at 9:30 a.m., and "Getting Started with FC Search," an introduction to the Foundation Center's database on CD-ROM, will be at 11 a.m.
