Laura Lemieux to be bride of Christopher Paes

CANFIELD -- Martin and Dianne Paes of 221 Dartmouth Ave. are announcing the engagement of their son, 1st Lt. Christopher Paes, 217 Amatista Way, Oceanside, Calif., to Laura Lemieux, daughter of David Sr. and Nancy Lemieux, all of 3710 Andover Lane, Fredericksburg, Va.
Invitations will be extended for the couple's wedding to take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Marine Corps Memorial Chapel in Quantico, Va., and for a reception to follow at Bristow Manor Golf Club, Bristow, Va.
The bride-elect holds a bachelor's degree in history from the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C., and is employed at the front desk of the Rappahannock Area YMCA in Falmouth, Va.
The prospective groom graduated from The Citadel in Charleston with a bachelor's degree in political science. He is stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps in Oceanside.
