PASTORAL ASSIGNMENTS Catholic Diocese of Youngstown

Bishop Thomas J. Tobin has announced assignments for new priests and made changes in pastoral duties as follows:
Rev. Kevin McCaffrey, newly ordained, appointed associate pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Ravenna, effective July 1.
Rev. Robert Miller, newly ordained, appointed associate pastor of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, effective July 1.
Rev. Peter Haladej, who will be ordained June 15 in Slovakia, appointed associate pastor of St. Rose Church, Girard, effective July 15.
Rev. Edward Brienz, named administrator of St. Patrick Church, Leetonia, effective July 1; currently administrator at St. John the Baptist Church, Campbell.
Rev. Pat Ferraro, named pastor of St. Joan of Arc Church, Streetsboro, effective July 1; currently at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.
Rev. William Petrunak named administrator of Holy Trinity Church, Struthers, effective July 1; will retain chaplain position at John F. Kennedy High School, Warren.
Rev. Charles Poore named pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Youngstown, effective May 13; appointed administrator at St. Rose of Lima Church, Coitsville, effective July 1.
Rev. Michael Swierz named administrator of St. Elizabeth Church and St. John the Baptist Church, Campbell; remains pastor of St. Joseph the Provider Church, Campbell.
Rev. John Trimbur named pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Niles, effective May 13; was pastor of St. John the Baptist Church and administrator of St. Elizabeth Church, both in Campbell.
Rev. Thomas Ungashick named pastor of St. Joseph Church, Maximo, effective July 1; currently pastor of St. Patrick Church, Leetonia.
Rev. Stephen Wassie appointed administrator of St. Andrew Church, Kingsville, effective July 1; continues as pastor of St. Joseph Church, Jefferson.
Rev. Howard Ziemba appointed associate pastor of St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph and St. John churches, all in Campbell, effective July 1; had served as associate pastor at Immaculate Conception Church, Ravenna; Assumption Church, Geneva; St. Barbara Church, Massillon; Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown; and St. Rose.
