Kristin Furrie to be bride of Kipp Owens

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. -- The engagement of Kristin Furrie, 1705 Hazelnut Circle, and Kipp Owens of the same address is being announced.
The bride-elect is a daughter of former Youngstown residents, John and Pam Furrie, 1234 N. Copper Spring Trail, Tucson, Ariz. Parents of the future groom are Dick and Jayne Owens, 2441 Legacy Drive, Anchorage, Alaska.
The couple will be married at 5 p.m. Aug. 24 on the mountain at Kirkwood Mountain Resort in Kirkwood, Calif. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for the reception afterward at the resort.
Miss Furrie and her fiance graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., with bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering. They are employed at Intel Corp. in Folsom, Calif., where she is business manager for the optical products group and he is an applications engineer.
