CASE WESTERN RESERVE
Adrienne Andrews, a 2000 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High, won her second letter as a sophomore on the softball team. Andrews batted .111 (1-for-9) in 18 games, including 15 starts. She also had two runs scored and one RBI. The team had a 16-15 record, including 6-5 mark in the University Athletic Association for second place under third-year coach Jerry Amodio.
In baseball, Jeff Streadney, a 2001 graduate of Howland High, won a letter as a freshman on the team. Streadney, an infielder, played in 16 out of 26 games and batted .259 with eight hits in 31 at-bats. He also scored 10 runs. The Case WR team posted a 6-10 record, including 0-6 in the UAA ubder coach Jerry Seiman.
MUSKINGUM
Tami Anglin, a senior catcher on the softball team from Springfield Local, and teammate Erin Zupko, a sophomore outfielder from Liberty High, were selected to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference second team. Anglin and Zupko helped the Muskies to a 40-8 record and their fifth straight OAC tile. Anglin was cited for outstanding defense and timely hitting. Zupko batted .336 with two homers and one triple.
KENT STATE
Bryan Gray, a senior wrestler from Austintown Fitch, will attend Kent State and resume his mat career. Gray was one of five KSU recruits who signed national letters of intent, coach Frank Romano announced. Gray posted a 19-2 record in the 160-pound class his senior season at Fitch. He won SVC and Division I sectional and district championships.
WITTENBERG
Norah Gillam, a freshman utility player and pitcher on the softball team from Canfield High, made the All-North Coast Athletic Conference first team and was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year. Gillam led Wittenberg in hits with 33, and was second in batting average with .314. She also had the best earned run average on the mound staff at 3.65. Wittenberg posted a 12-21-1 record, including 5-8 in the NCAC.
