Youngstown resident, 23, reports shot

CAMPBELL -- Jermaine Stroughter, 23, of Pasadena Avenue, Youngstown, walked into the police station Saturday and told police that he had been shot in the back Wednesday after an argument at the Michael J. Kirwan housing project on Jackson Street. Glenn Land, 19, of Campbell died during the gunfire, and Schaun Coldy, 23, of Akron was arrested and charged with murder.
Stroughter told police that during the argument with Coldy, Coldy pulled a gun from his waistband and shot Land in the chest. Stroughter said he and Land were running from the shooter and Stroughter felt a sharp pain in his back where a bullet grazed him.
He told police he did not seek treatment, and there is nothing in the report to explain why he waited so long to come forward.
