SHARON ACS taking reservations for gala at Buhl Mansion

SHARON, Pa. -- Wednesday is the deadline for reserving a spot at "A Mid summer Night's Dream" gala to be held by the Mercer County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
The event -- black-tie optional -- will be on the Buhl Mansion grounds at 422 E. State St. from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 11.
Reservations are required and must be made by contacting the ACS office at 19 Jefferson Ave. The cost is $150 per person.
A grand pavilion will be placed on the grounds for dining and dancing, and music will be provided by the band Backbeat.
Anita Quinn, a WFMJ news reporter, will be mistress of ceremonies, and Diana Lynne Photography will be on hand for private sittings. A portion of the photo proceeds will go to the ACS. The Buhl Mansion, a five-diamond bed and breakfast facility, is offering a special room rate of $195 for guests who wish to extend the evening at the mansion.
The ACS is looking for $1,000 donors to serve as honorary hosts. Those individuals or companies will receive two tickets to the gala, recognition in the program and an invitation to a pre-gala reception inside the mansion.
