Mr. and Mrs. John Savastuk feted at surprise dinner on 50th jubilee

SANDUSKY -- A surprise family dinner party was held June 15 at Damon's on the Lake in honor of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Savastuk, 4704 Venice Height Blvd., formerly of Poland.
Honoring the couple were their children, David and Renee Savastuk of Managua, Nicaragua; Susan Savastuk and Dr. Glorianne Leck of Youngstown; Steven and Dian Savastuk of Castalia; Tim Savastuk of Youngstown; and James Savastuk of Washington, D.C. Three grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Savastuk and the former Charlyn Cooper were married May 24, 1952, at St. Anthony Church in Lorain. He was display director for Hartzell Rose & amp; Sons Clothing Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1990.
His wife worked as a bookkeeper for Reiger Real Estate in Lorain prior to her marriage.
