Lentons honored for golden jubilee at family dinner

AUSTINTOWN - A family dinner July 6 at Springfield Grille in Boardman honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lenton, 4969 Radio Road, for the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the celebration were the honorees' children and their spouses, Julie and Craig Anderson of Douglas, Mich.; Thomas and Annette Lenton of Boardman; and Theodore Lenton of Canfield.
The former Vera Grinta and Mr. Lenton exchanged marriage vows July 5, 1952, at St. Mary Church in Warren.
Retiring in 1988, Mr. Lenton was a tow-motor operator at General Fireproofing in Youngstown, where he worked for 42 years. He served in the U.S. Navy with a tour of duty from 1944-46 in the South Pacific.
Mrs. Lenton, who is retired, worked in office management for Dr. Leon Schnur in Warren.
They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Their family includes seven grandchildren.
