BOARDMAN -- Living in Youngstown following a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas are Corey Evans and his bride, the former Karen Slifka, who were married at 2 p.m. June 29 at Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Parents of the bride are Robert and Christina Slifka, 77 Alverne Drive, Poland, and Mr. Evans is a son of Cheryl Pike, 319 S. Main St., Poland, and Robert Evans of Clearwater, Fla.
The Rev. Robert Quaintance officiated, and a reception followed at Antone's Banquet Centre.
The bride's A-line satin gown was designed with jeweled straps and an open back. Beading adorned the fitted bodice and hemline, and she carried a cluster bouquet of pastel roses.
Her sister, Suzanne Slifka, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Carole Gentile; Kelly Daugherty, the bride's cousin; and Meghan Ferraro, the groom's sister. They wore powder-blue gowns. The groom's nieces, Lauren Banko and Gracie Orecchio, were flower girls.
Robert Evans, the groom's brother, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Glenn Sharpneck, Jim Motosko and the bride's brother, Robert Slifka.
Mrs. Evans is employed as a teller at Home Saving & amp; Loan Co.
Her husband works at General Extrusions in Youngstown.
