50th anniversary celebration fetes the Heaveners

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Heavener, 3884 Ayrshire Drive, were the guests of honor during a family weekend July 14-16 in Geneva-on-the-Lake in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Richard and Liz Heavener of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Brenda and Richard Rollison of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; Jerry and Debra Heavener of Austintown; and Diane Brown of Tempe, Ariz.
Mr. Heavener and the former Kathleen L. Gingrich were married July 26, 1952, at Highway Tabernacle, where they are members. He served in the U.S. Army and retired in 1989 from Browning-Ferris, where he was a truck driver.
His wife is retired from the Austintown Board of Education.
Ten grandchildren complete their family.
