YOUNGSTOWN - The Youngstown Express collegiate baseball team clinched a spot in the league playoffs. This is the third time in four years that the team has gained a berth in the playoffs.
The Express defeated the Pittsburgh Pandas 12-4 in their last home game of the season on five strong innings by pitcher Walt Nolen of McNeese State. Four players had two hits apiece.
After Thursday's win the Express improved their record to 25-14.
The regular season will end with a road trip to Northern Ohio and Delaware this weekend.
