YOUNGSTOWN -- Melanie M. Fleece and Mark Anthony Carfolo accepted congratulations during a reception at The Butler Institute of American Art following their June 22 wedding at St. Anthony Church.
Monsignor John DeMarinis officiated at 2 p.m. for the daughter of John and Patricia Fleece of Boardman and the son of Samuel and Ida Carfolo of Youngstown.
Swavorski crystals and lilac beads highlighted the bodice of the bride's A-line gown of matte satin and organza that laced up the back.
Honor attendants were Jennifer Cambouris and Patti Carfolo. Bridesmaids were Michelle Gruber, Natalie Italiano and Marina Ciccone. They wore lilac dresses. Emmalee Zupo was a junior bridesmaid, and Gianna D'Apolito was flower girl.
Ronald Schultz and Judge David D'Apolito shared the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Richard Douglass, Dr. Michael Italiano, James DiMuzio and Robert Russo. Sammy Cambouris was junior groomsman, and Jonathan Cambouris, ring bearer.
Mrs. Carfolo earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and will graduate in the spring with a master's in educational administration from Ashland University. She is a teacher at Western Reserve High School, Berlin Center.
The groom graduated from YSU and earned a master's degree and juris doctorate at the University of Akron. He is the associate director of the public defender's office in Portage County and has a private practice in Boardman.
The couple live in Canfield.
