Microsoft program at KSU Trumbull

CHAMPION -- Kent State University Trumbull Campus' workforce development and continuing studies center has teamed with Microsoft as part of the new Microsoft IT Academy Program.
With strong faculty development and student resources from Microsoft, the center is providing Microsoft certification training to its students.
Free information sessions will be conducted from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Aug. 5 in Room 211W of the center.
The demand for skilled information technology workers has never been greater. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics' employment projections from 1998 to 2000, four of the five fastest growing occupations in the economy are computer-related, with employment numbers expected to grow up to 108 percent.
As a Microsoft IT Academy program member school, the workforce development and continuing studies center at KSU-Trumbull offers official Microsoft curriculum courses that lead to certifications of Microsoft certified professional, Microsoft certified systems engineer, Microsoft certified database administrator, Microsoft certified solutions developer and Microsoft certified application developer.
