Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Geewax mark 50th at dinner, family gathering



CAMPBELL -- Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Geewax of Edward Lane were the guests of honor June 28 at a dinner at Alberini's Restaurant in Niles in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The occasion also was celebrated June 30 during a family gathering in Reminderville following a Mass celebrated in their honor that morning at St. Elizabeth Church by Monsignor Cyril Adamko.
Attending the dinner with the couple were their children, Darryl Geewax and his fiancee, Debbie Wetenberger, of Newbury Park, Calif.; Marilyn Geewax of Chevy Chase, Md.; and Ronald and Sara Geewax of Reminderville.
The former Vilma Vass and Mr. Geewax were married June 28, 1952, at St. Elizabeth Church, where they are members. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was employed for many years as a draftsman at Store Engineering Co. in Youngstown.
Mrs. Geewax is a homemaker.
