YOUNGSTOWN -- The wedding of Lilian Esparra of Sheffield Lake and Craig Stephen Maddox of Lakewood took place at 3 p.m. July 20 at St. Rose of Lima Church.
Parents of the bride are Porfirio and Eufemia Esparra of Campbell.
Mr. Maddox is a son of Barry Maddox of Lancaster, Pa., and the late Anna Maddox.
The Rev. Thomas Carney officiated, and a reception was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall.
After a honeymoon to Mexico, the couple will live in Ohio.
The bride wore a white gown designed with an empire waist and beaded spaghetti straps. It was enhanced with lace and sequins on English netting and schiffli lace. The detachable train was similarly enhanced.
Her sister, Rosa Esparra, was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were the groom's sister, Holly Maddox, and the bride's niece, Alessandra Parry. They wore periwinkle gowns. Flower girl was her niece, Mariela Saver.
Scott Maddox performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were the bride's nephews, David Esparra and Marco Garcia. Another nephew of the bride, David Garcia, was ring bearer.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus and is a case manager at Catholic Charities in Cleveland.
Her husband is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pa. He is employed by Positive Education Program in Cleveland. He served in the U.S. Army and is a member of the Army Reserve.
