YOUNGSTOWN -- The Jericho Project and The Lost Then Found Ministries have teamed up to present the annual "Jammin for Jesus" music fest from 2 to 6 p.m. today. The festival is being held for the first time at the Federal Plaza Amphitheater.
The festival is designed to bring members of the community together to enjoy the music of area Christian artists and to provide free food and clothing to those in need.
Some of The Lost Then Found Ministries artists are Rachell Joy and Brian Palumbo, Carla Gipson and Mark and Cathy Plegge. Security is provided. Call (330) 783-0117.
Gospel concert set
POLAND -- The GraceWay Quartet from Columbus will perform gospel music at 7 p.m. today by the Old Barn Out Back at Poland Village Baptist Church.
The GraceWay Quartet is a traditional Southern Gospel male quartet that has performed in eight states since 1995.
People should bring lawn chairs or blankets. An offering will be taken. In case of rain, the concert will be indoors.
The quartet will also perform at the 11 a.m. Sunday church service.
Peacemakers to speak
CANFIELD -- "A Report from Hebron" will be offered at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 in Canfield United Methodist Church by Peggy and Art Gish of Athens, Ohio, who recently returned from Israel where they worked with the local Christian Peacemaker Team that works on dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians and observes the ongoing conflict. Art Gish is the author of "Hebron Journal" published last year. Call (330) 747-5515.
Music festival set
MIDLAND, Pa. -- Destinee Records Entertainment of Midland, Pa., will sponsor The International Abba Fest and the Global Abba Awards and Abba Concert on Aug. 24 and 25.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 24, there will be choirs, mimes, soloists and musical groups at the Lincoln Stage in Midland.
At 5 p.m. Aug. 25, the Global Abba Award Ceremony will be held as part of the Abba Concert at One Campus Drive, Monaca, Pa. The Global Abba Awards are awarded to those who have not been recognized by either the Stellar or Grammy Awards. Applications for the awards must be submitted to 108 Jones St., Aliquippa, Pa. 15001.
Healing service
YOUNGSTOWN -- An ecumenical healing prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Christ Church Presbyterian. Time will be allowed for personal ministry.
Women's fall retreat
WARREN -- Otterbein United Methodist Church is sponsoring a one-day fall retreat for women, "Taking Care of Your Heart and Soul," with Paula D'Arcy, author and speaker. It will take place at DiVieste Banquet Room. Registration is from 8:30 to 9 a.m., and the retreat is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Priest namedvisiting professor
CLEVELAND -- The Rev. Donald B. Cozzens, a priest of the dioceses of Cleveland, and author of the best seller, "The Changing Face of the Priesthood: A Reflection on the Priest's Crisis of Soul," has joined the faculty of John Carroll University as a visiting adjunct professor in the religious studies department beginning in the fall semester.
Father Cozzens is a pastoral theologian and psychologist and author of "Sacred Silence: Denial and the Crisis in the Church," to be published in late fall.
Prayer rally set
