As usual, Delasin looking up

The returning champion is used to coming from behind.

VIENNA -- Dorothy Delasin, in her quest for a three-peat of the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic, shot a first round 69 Friday, five shots behind the leaders at 3-under par.
When asked if she felt pressure coming into the tournament Delasin said, "I really don't get pressured. I just go out there and play against the course because I can only control what I do."
In the next two days, she will try to keep controlling her game and maintaining the way she is currently playing.
"I just wanted to have a good position going into the weekend," Delasin said. "I am in position to have a good weekend. I'm very happy with how I played."
Delasin is no stranger to being behind the leaders in the early rounds.
Last year, she was three behind the leader going into the final round of the tournament.
This year, she trails leaders Beth Bader and Kelly Robbins by five shots with two days left in the tournament.
She was 2 under par after nine holes and 1 under par after 18 holes.
She birdied two holes on the front nine and two holes on the back nine. She had one bogey on the back nine.
Delasin's ability to focus was tested after a two-hour rain delay in the afternoon.
"It is difficult [to stop play]," Delasin said. "I had a little momentum going onto the par 5."
