Possible theft: An employee at TR Party Centre, 4172 Market St., alleged someone rented a $600 rotisserie and failed to return it.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen at Beeghly Oaks nursing home, 6505 Market St.
Criminal damaging: Someone broke into a car and damaged its driver's-side door lock and paint in the 7300 block of South Avenue.
Warrants: Police arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown man at Audio Extreme, 7000 Market St., on several traffic violations. After searching him, police found suspected marijuana in the man's front pants pocket.
Assault: A man in the 20 block of Arlene Avenue reported a 75-year-old man assaulted him on the victim's front porch.
Assault: A woman reported a 44-year-old man assaulted her in her living room in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Assault/theft: A woman reported someone sprayed her in the face with an undetermined substance and stole her purse while she shopped at Phar-Mor, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
Assault: A woman in the 7500 block of Glenwood Avenue reported two men assaulted her 15-year-old son at a residence in the 100 block of Alburn Drive.
Drugs: Police arrested a 28-year-old East Liverpool man after stopping his car near Market Street and Southwoods Avenue and finding a glass pipe containing suspected marijuana residue.
July 9
Criminal damaging: An employee at Energy Wise Home Improvements Inc., 5164 Youngstown-Poland Road, discovered someone deliberately cut 16 phone and fax lines behind the business.
Theft: A street sign was removed from the Auburn Hills Condo Association, Auburn Drive.
Credit-card fraud: A woman in the 8500 block of Reserve Drive reported a $41.90 charge on her Discover card for Internet services she never purchased.
Warrant: Police arrested a 34-year-old Boardman woman on a charge of obstructing official business.
Warrant: Police arrested a 19-year-old Youngstown man at Wendy's restaurant, 433 Boardman-Poland Road, on a charge of receiving stolen property. After searching his vehicle, police charged his with possession of drug paraphernalia when they found a small amount of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe inside.
Breaking and entering: Four male juveniles were arrested after the owner of a vacant building in the 6300 block of Market Street called police and said the four broke into and damaged the structure.
Theft: A wallet, an operator's license, an American Express credit card, a gasoline card and $190 in currency were stolen from a car in the 800 block of Wildwood Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested a 42-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of failing to appear in court. After pulling over his car near Southern Boulevard and Terrace Drive, police discovered a small amount of suspected marijuana in a wallet found in the vehicle's front seat.
July 10
Theft: A man reported several items, including a Visa card, missing from his residence in the 3900 block of Chaucer Lane.
Theft: A leather briefcase and $20 in currency were stolen from a pickup truck in the 8000 block of Forest Lake Drive.
Theft: A hand-held power saw was stolen from a residence in the 1400 block of East Western Reserve Road.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen after she accidentally left it in a shopping cart at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Assault: A man reported a 25-year-old male punched him in the face near Hitchcock Road and U.S. Route 224.
Theft: A woman in the 4200 block of Hillman Way reported someone stole a child-support check from her mailbox and forged her signature before cashing it.
Theft: About $15 worth of change was stolen from a car in the 8500 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A compact-disc player was taken from a vehicle, which had its dashboard cracked, in the Toys "R" Us parking lot, 317 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Police arrested four female juveniles on a theft charge in connection with $276 worth of clothing that was stolen from J.C. Penney in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Someone took a roto-tiller from a garage in the 600 block of Maple Avenue.
Assault: A woman in the 4000 block of Hillman Way reported she and a friend were assaulted by a 42-year-old man.
July 11
Theft: A woman in the 4000 block of South Avenue reported someone stole a 20-inch gold chain from around her neck.
Assault: A woman reported being assaulted in the 1100 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Stolen checks: A woman reported a stolen check was passed at Kohl's department store, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, and another was used at Lowe's, 1100 Doral Drive.
Theft: A $236 bird feeder was stolen from Wild Birds Unlimited, 90 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Auto theft: A woman's mother reported her daughter's 1986 Pontiac Grand Am missing in the 4100 block of Hillman Way.
Forgery: A woman in the 200 block of Alexander Street alleged her former employer forged her name on various documents kept in her personnel file.
Theft: Police arrested a 13-year-old boy on a theft charge at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, after two watches and three sets of Pok & eacute;mon cards were stolen.
Theft: A cellular phone was taken from a truck at a Shell gas station, 998 E. Western Reserve Road.
Domestic violence/assault: Police arrested a 22-year-old Boardman man on domestic violence and assault charges after one victim said he pulled her hair and the other victim alleged he threw a chair at her.
Credit-card fraud: A New Castle, Pa., man reported about $548 worth of fraudulent charges were placed on his credit card.
Criminal damaging: A woman reported someone threw a rock and broke a window on her garage door in the 6600 block of Bristlewood Drive.
Credit-card fraud: A woman in the 800 block of Cook Avenue reported her credit card was fraudulently used to make various Internet purchases.
July 12
Theft: Police arrested a 13-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge after various women's garments were reported stolen at Wal-Mart.
Theft: Police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after a pair of shoes were taken from the Payless Shoe Store, 48 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging/theft: Fifty compact discs and a CD cover were stolen from a vehicle, which had its passenger-side door lock and dashboard damaged, in the Movies 8 parking lot.
July 13
Criminal damaging/theft: A car's passenger-side door lock was damaged, and a stereo's faceplate was stolen, while it was parked at Movies 8. Also, a vehicle had its driver's-side door lock and trunk lock damaged.
Criminal damaging/theft: A car's dashboard was damaged, and an AM/FM compact disc player was removed, in the 5200 block of Old Oxford Lane.
Theft: Police arrested a 49-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after she reportedly concealed two pairs of shoes at Payless Shoe Store. After searching her shopping bag, police found suspected stolen merchandise taken from Dillard's department store.
Theft: A woman in the 7100 block of Trenholm Drive reported $219 was taken from her checking account without her permission.
Theft: Police arrested an 18-year-old New Castle woman on a theft charge in connection with $126 worth of clothing that was stolen from J.C. Penney.
Assault: A woman reported being assaulted at the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damaging: A car's driver's-side door lock was broken while it was parked at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A woman reported someone stole $40 from her purse while she worked at Longhorn Steakhouse, 953 Boardman-Poland Road.
Warrants: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of forgery, falsification and receiving stolen property.
Assault: A Youngstown woman reported being assaulted in the 7100 block of Market Street.
