AUSTINTOWN Club figures into probes

Those involved in the shooting had been ordered to leave the club's parking lot.
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are investigating three reports of crimes early today, including a shooting.
The Mill nightclub on South Raccoon Road figures into each case.
A Warren man, 27, told police that another man shot at him and his friend four times at about 2:45 a.m. near the corner of South Raccoon and Burkey roads. There were no injuries.
Earlier, the man accused of the shooting and the Warren man had been ordered by police to leave The Mill's parking lot in their cars.
Four men were in each car. The men in the Warren man's car told police that when they got to the corner of South Raccoon and Burkey, men in the other car stopped, got out and started a fight.
The Warren man said he was punched in the face. One of the men in the other car shot at the Warren man and his friend. The shooter and the rest of the men in his car then drove away.
Police said they didn't find any shell casings at the scene. The Warren man refused treatment from paramedics for an injury to his mouth.
Another report
Police also received a report this morning that a Mill security guard grabbed a Lisbon man by the throat, took him out of the club and slammed him against the club's wall at about 2 a.m.
The Lisbon man, 20, said he was accused of inappropriately touching his female friend while they were dancing. Both the Lisbon man and his friend said there was no inappropriate touching.
The Lisbon man had scrapes and bruises on his neck, ear and arm that did not require medical attention, police said.
Drug arrest
Police also said they arrested a Youngstown man this morning who said he bought suspected marijuana and cocaine in one of the nightclub's restrooms. Wellington Kornegay Jr., 23, of Kensington Street, is charged with drug abuse cocaine, drug abuse marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they found suspected cocaine and marijuana in plastic bags near the passenger seat of a car that was pulled over for a traffic violation at 3:20 a.m. near the corner of Oakwood and Lexington.
Kornegay had been sitting in the passenger seat.
Police said they later found suspected cocaine in a plastic bag and in a wadded-up piece of paper in Kornegay's shoe and sock.
