NY-PENN LEAGUE Scrappers' Shaun Larkin enjoys walks in the park

BATAVIA, N.Y. -- For Scrappers second baseman Shaun Larkin, Mahoning Valley's 5-4 win over Batavia Wednesday night wasn't just a walk in the park. It was four walks in the park.
With the game tied 4-4 in the top of the 10th, Larkin coaxed a one-out walk -- his fourth of the game -- stole second and scored on a two-out RBI single by third baseman Pat Osborn.
Todd Pennington (3-1) pitched two shutout innings in relief to pick up the victory. Zach Minor (2-1) took the loss.
The win moved Mahoning Valley (15-14) into second place in the Pinckney Division of the New York Penn League standings. Batavia (14-15) dropped to third.
Early lead
Osborn went 3-for-4 in the game.
Designated hitter Andy Baxter went 2-for-5, scoring twice and hitting a two-run home run in the fourth inning to gave Mahoning Valley a 3-1 lead.
Baxter scored his other run on a bases loaded wild pitch by Beau Richardson in the sixth inning.
Jonathan Van Every had an RBI double in the first.
Brian Slocum started for the Scrappers, but was relieved with two outs in the third inning.
For Batavia, Nielsen Abreu and Rob Cafiero each had two hits and an RBI.
Andre Marshall added a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth that tied the game at 4.
