Kenda Erkard, Robert Pickard set wedding date

Kenda Camille Erkard, 49 Clifton Drive, Boardman, and Robert D. Pickard Jr., 2203 Volney Road, Youngstown, are planning to be married Sept. 7.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Minnie Erkard, 324 W. LaClede Ave., Youngstown, and the late Elvin Erkard. The future groom is a son of Darlene Pickard of the Volney Road address and Robert Pickard Sr. of Cleveland.
Miss Erkard graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is a senior department manager at J.C. Penney Co. in Boardman.
Mr. Pickard, who attended YSU, is a customer-service representative with Narrington Benefits in Boardman. He served seven years in the U.S. Navy and two years in active reserves.
The couple will exchange marriage vows during an open-church ceremony planned for 2 p.m. at Old North Church of Canfield. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church Activity Center in Youngstown.
