CLEVELAND -- The need for blood at local hospitals is outweighing the supply at the Northern Ohio Region of the American Red Cross.
Tuesday, the local Red Cross blood supply of various blood types was: O positive, minimum three-day supply is 840 units, on hand, six units; A positive, minimum three-day supply is 750 units, on hand, one unit; B positive, minimum three-day supply is 225 units, on hand, 21 units; O negative, minimum three-day supply is 225 units, on hand, 42 units; A negative, minimum three-day supply is 180 units, on hand, four units.
