YOUNGSTOWN -- A 27-year-old Mount Vernon Avenue man said he gave a jump-start to the car of the people who had just stolen a CD player and VCR from his South Side home. The man told city police was on his way home around 1 a.m. Saturday and saw a man standing beside a Chevrolet Camaro driven by a woman. When the man said she needed a jump, the homeowner helped them out, noticing stereo equipment and a television in the rear of the car. When he arrived home, he discovered his door had been kicked in and the items missing.

YOUNGSTOWN -- An angry driver tried to run a car carrying two women and two infants into a concrete barrier on Interstate 680, city police reports show. The 21-year-old West Side woman said she was driving south near Market Street around 4 p.m. Friday when a pickup truck began tailing her Honda, then hit her as the driver tried to force her into the barrier while yelling obscenities. The driver followed her until she exited at Midlothian Boulevard, she said.

LIBERTY -- The Mustang Club of America National Mustang Stampede Car Show continues today at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex with a visit by Ford Motor Company's Living Legends 2 Tour, featuring the 2003 Mach 1, the 500 horsepower GT40 concept car, the Forty-Nine concept car, the new Thunderbird and a never-before-seen 2003 Mustang Pony. The free national event is to run till about 3 p.m. Proceeds from an auction and registration fees will be donated to Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital.
