2001 -- Recorded two victories: successfully defended her title at the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic and won the Samsung World Championship. Recorded a total of six top-10 finishes, including a tie for fifth at the Standard Register PING, a tie for sixth at both the Evian Masters and Kathy Ireland Championship Honoring Harvey Penick, and a tie for 10th at The Office Depot Hosted by Amy Alcott. Carded a career-low round of 65 during the third round of the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic. Was one of only eight players to win a tournament with all rounds in the 60s (Giant Eagle LPGA Classic). Tied with Mhairi McKay for the Century 21 & reg; Fine Homes & amp; Estates Move of the Month Award for October and earned $2,500 as a result of her three-spot jump up the money list that month.
2000 -- Defeated Pat Hurst on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the Giant Eagle LPGA Classic and become the youngest player (19 years old) to win an LPGA event since Amy Alcott won the 1975 Orange Blossom Classic; named the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year on the strength of her win and seven additional top-20 finishes; recorded her first career hole-in-one during the third round of the Michelob Light Classic.
1999 -- Tied for fourth at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn exempt status for the 2000 season.
Amateur -- Captured the California Women's Championship and the U.S. Junior Girls Championship titles in 1996. She was the 1997 SEA Games Gold Medal winner (team and individual) and 1998 Junior World champion. She ended her amateur career with a victory at the 1999 U.S. Women's Amateur.
