CANFIELD Two injured in SUV accident on Western Reserve Road

CANFIELD -- An 18-year-old man and his 20-year-old female passenger were in stable condition in St. Elizabeth Health Center after his sport utility vehicle ran off Western Reserve Road near state Route 46, flipped over and burst into flames.
Neither Bradley S. Vizi of Canfield nor Nina Ozenghar of North Lima was wearing a seat belt, said Trooper David Zatvarnicky of the Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Vizi was ejected from the vehicle during the 8:30 p.m. Friday crash and Ozenghar was thrown into the back seat, from where another motorist helped her escape.
Zatvarnicky said Vizi was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango west when he tried to pass another motorist, ran off the road to the left and hit a traffic sign and a mailbox before sliding into a culvert and flipping over. He and his passenger were assisted by the motorist Vizi had tried to pass.
Canfield and Green Township fire departments and Rural Metro and Green Township EMS responded, as well as the OSHP and Mahoning County sheriff's office.
Zatvarnicky said he believes driver inexperience may have contributed to the accident because Vizi had recently purchased the Durango.
