LIBERTY Woman critically injured after being hit in parking lot

The assault ended when the SUV hit a store wall.
LIBERTY -- It's too early to say what charges will be filed against a Girard man, who police say ran over a woman in a grocery store parking lot.
Nancy Norman, 43, of Liberty, was in critical condition this morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center with multiple fractures. Her husband, Bobby, was unhurt.
The SUV driver, Anthony Ciminero, 33, of Girard, reached in his room in Forum Health Northside Medical Center this morning, said he felt "good ... just a little pain in the back."
What happened
Liberty Police Chief Anthony Slifka said witnesses reported seeing the Girard man waving his arms and yelling before driving his SUV from a parking spot in the Giant Eagle lot into a car just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Slifka said the man rammed the other car, which was parked in another aisle, three times and then pushed it into a field.
The Normans either jumped out or were thrown from their car, Slifka said.
Nancy Norman is thought to have lain down in the field. The other driver circled around the empty car and ran over her, police said.
He then drove out of the field and struck a light pole before hitting the store building.
Police don't know for sure yet what sparked the attack or when charges may be filed.
"There was no confrontation between the victim and the other driver. The man [Norman] said he heard someone yell and thought it was some kids," Slifka said.
The Normans had just loaded their groceries and had gotten into their car when they were hit.
The other driver also hit another car, causing slight damage, before hitting the Normans.
