VIENNA -- The final tournament field list for next week's Giant Eagle LPGA Classic was released Tuesday night, and the local event lost several top performers.
Laura Diaz, ranked fourth on the LPGA money list, has withdrawn from the tournament, along with local favorite Dottie Pepper and 1991 champion Deb Richard.
In all, 16 players pulled their name off the tournament list and were replaced. Sophie Gustafson, Catrin Nilsmark and Maggie Will were the only exempt players to add their name to the Giant Eagle list this week. A total of 13 alternates were added to the event.
Tournament events begin Monday at Squaw Creek Country Club. The LPGA competition begins Friday.
