July 1
Theft: A man in the 1300 block of St. Albans Drive reported someone stole a total of $1,800 in currency from him.
Theft: A Kmart worker alleged another employee stole 20 compact discs, 20 video games, six DVDs, two cameras and a blank CD from the store, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road
Theft by deception: A man in the 80 block of Woodrow Avenue reported he paid someone $3,000 to do work at his residence that was never completed.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's trunk had two 4-inch dents in the 1100 block of Doral Drive
Bogus check: Someone paid a $49 check at Springfield Grille, 7913 Tiffany Blvd., with a check drawn on a closed account.
Theft: An employee at Gabriel Bros. department store, 850 Boardman-Poland Road, reported someone stole his cellular phone from the store's break room.
Theft: A woman reported her change purse, about $70 in currency, two credit cards and a house key were taken while she was at Club South fitness center, 7120 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: Someone stole about $250 from Charley's Steakery in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Two plastic rain guards were taken from a car in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Credit card fraud: A man in the 100 block of Creston Drive reported someone stole his Visa card and fraudulently used it to obtain $525 worth of credit and currency.
Criminal damaging: A man reported someone threw an object from a vehicle and scratched his truck's windshield while he was driving near South Avenue and McClurg Road.
Criminal damaging: A man reported someone tossed a rock out a vehicle's window and damaged his truck's radiator while he was driving on South Avenue.
Attempted purse snatching: A woman reported a man forcibly tried to steal her purse in the Cochran Sparkle Market parking lot, 4121 South Ave.
Burglary: A man reported someone stole an electronic keyboard with a floppy disk player from his residence in the 7400 block of West Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A filter pump wire and a timer wire were damaged in a yard in the 1300 block of Pheasant Court.
July 3
Theft: A woman alleged a manager of her apartment complex entered her home and removed a lamp in the 5000 block of Forest Park Place.
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 25-year-old Youngstown man at the Terrace Hotel on a possession of drugs charge after searching him and finding a drug for which he did not have prescription.
Theft: A compact disc deck, two Ohio driver's licenses, $70 in currency and two $20 gift certificates were taken from a car in the 1900 block of Cover Drive.
Criminal damaging: A woman reported two men broke a front window to her residence in the 3900 block of Hudson Avenue.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from a car in the 400 block of Old Shay Lane.
Assault: A woman reported a woman stabbed her while the two argued at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: A wallet, $75 in currency and 100 compact discs were stolen from a vehicle in the 1800 block of Cover Drive.
Attempted shoplifting: Police arrested a 19-year-old Youngstown man after an employee at After Thoughts in the Southern Park Mall alleged he concealed three bracelets and three necklaces and tried to leave without paying for them.
Warrant: Police arrested a 30-year-old Salem man on a domestic violence charge.
Auto theft: A 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from a parking lot at the Boardman Inn, 7109 Market St.

July 4
Theft: A weed whacker and a push mower were taken from the front yard of a residence in the 4800 block of Southern Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's left front headlight was damaged while parked on Applewood Boulevard.
Attempted theft: A man and a woman tried to steal six pairs of shoes from Gabriel Bros.
Warrant: Police arrested 19-year-old Boardman man on a domestic violence charge.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a woman and a man in the 100 block of Shields Road after each accused the other of domestic violence. Both victims suffered various cuts and bruises
July 5
Theft: A bicycle, a backpack and a helmet with a heart monitor were stolen from the garage of a residence in the 6800 block of Glendale Avenue.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from a vehicle in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue.
Breaking and entering/theft: A car was broken into in the 100 block of Lemans Drive, and an 8-mm video camera, a tackle box with various pieces of fishing equipment, six compact discs, a pack of cigarettes and a total of $25 in currency were stolen.
Attempted auto theft: A Warren woman reported someone tried to steal her 1994 Chevy Blazer from the BW-3 parking lot in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A compact disc player and a pair of sunglasses were removed from a car in the BW-3 parking lot.
Theft: An employee at American Greetings in the Southern Park Mall alleged a co-worker stole her purse.

Assault: An employee at Burger King, 841 Boardman-Poland Road, alleged a co-worker struck her in the arm with a telephone.
July 6
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was shattered and a paper box was cracked at a residence in the 7400 block of Jaguar Drive.
Theft: A camcorder and cellular phone were stolen from a vehicle in the 4100 block of Simon Road.
Criminal damaging: Two vehicles' front fenders were damaged at Four Wheels Auto Sales, 5925 South Ave.
Theft: A woman reported her purse was stolen from a back room at Michael's Arts and Crafts, 365 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Assault: A woman in the 20 block of South Cedilla Drive reported her brother's girlfriend punched her below her left eye.
Assault: Police arrested a 53-year-old Boardman man on an assault charge after he slammed a drive-thru window shut at Taco Bell, 458 Boardman-Canfield Road, injuring an employee's hand.
Warrant: Police arrested a 51-year-old North Lima man on a theft charge after he stole three DVDs and a pair of pliers from Sam's Club, 7469 South Ave.

July 3
Theft: Someone broke into a truck in the 10 block of Island Drive and took about $5 worth of change.
Theft: Two residents in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue reported someone broke into their two vehicles, but nothing was reported missing. Also, a man and a woman reported their cars were broken into, and a knife and a cordless drill were taken from one of the vehicles and about $7 worth of change was missing from the other.
July 8
Theft: A man and a woman in the 300 block of Johnston Place reported someone broke into their two vehicles and stole an undetermined amount of change from each car.
Theft: A car was broken into, and about $700 in currency and a backpack were removed, in the 80 block of Venloe Drive. Also, another vehicle was broken into and $4 worth of change was taken.
