Astros take leadin 'B' series
John Hay went the route on a four-hitter as the Astro Falcons beat Line Drive Academy 7-1 in the Youngstown Class B League playoffs Monday. The Falcons lead the best-of-five series 2-1. The teams play the fourth game of the series tonight at Cene Park at 7 p.m. Frank Turocy had two hits including an inside the park homer and three RBIs, while Dan Leonard and Dan Bertouni each had two hits for the Astro Falcons. Adam Coco had a triple while Bertouni drove in three runs. For Line Drive, Sean Curry had two hits while Matt Repec and Dan Ford each had a double. After playing scoreless ball for three innings, the Falcons took a 3-0 lead in the fourth. Line Drive scored in the bottom of the fourth, but the Falcons scored twice in the fifth and plated two more runs in the sixth.
