IN THE CUP Area holes in one



Rob Strawn of East Palestine made the first hole-in-one at the new Links at Firestone Farms Golf Course in Columbiana. He aced the No. 8 hole, 176-yards, with a 3-iron. The shot was witnessed by Denny Shank, Scott Harris and Charlie Oliver.
Kevin Clune of Hubbard aced the 157-yard No. 7 hole with a 7-iron at Deer Creek Golf Course. Witnesses were Jason Dunn and Sean Lockovich.
Brian Snider made his first hole-in-one at Diamond Back Golf Course in Canfield. He aced the No. 8 hole, 115 yards using a sand wedge. The shot was witnessed by Charlie Crowther, John Kesner and Danny Grim.
Geoffrey Lewis of Cortland aced the No. 8 hole at Mill Creek Park's North Course with a pitching wedge.
Eleanor Morris of New Wilmington, Pa., made a hole-in-one at Borland Golf Center in New Wilmington. She aced the No. 8 hole, 99 yards with a 3-wood. It was witnessed by Katie Jarosz, Nori Closz and Carole Welch.
Anthony "Frenchy" DeSantis of Hubbard made ace on the No. 16 hole, 112 yards with a 8 iron at Pine Lakes Golf Course. It was witnessed by Phil Naspecu, Brian Kirby and Jim Rich.
Kevin Dougherty of Boardman aced the No. 16, 118-yard hole with a wedge at Pine Lakes Golf Course. It was witnessed by Brendon McCloud and Mike Condron.
Les Seidner of Salem on the 180-yard No. 13 hole using a 5 wood at Salem Hills C.C. Witnesses to Seidner's first hole-in-one were John Sheridan, Tom Owen and Jack Manolio.
Tom Pastier of Salem made a hole-in-one at Diamond Back Golf Course in Canfield. He aced the 110 yard, No. 8 hole using a pitching wedge. The shot was witnessed by Gary Chappel.
Bob Hurst aced the 166-yard No. 4 hole using a 9-iron at Reserve Run in the company of witnesses Ron Dyce, Bob Gilbert and Greg Mason.
Harry Turic of Poland put the ball in Reserve Run's 171-yard No. 2 hole using a 7-iron. Turic's first ace was witnessed by Alice Turic, Cassey Turic and Dan Young.
