Hubbard tops Liberty, 69-68

HUBBARD -- Jason Lenzi poured in 26 points and Anthony Smith 20 to lead Hubbard to a 69-68 victory over Liberty in the Trumbull Athletic Conference on Tuesday.
The Eagles had a 26-14 first-quarter lead, before Liberty outscored Hubbard in the middle periods, 29-25. Hubbard (5-10, 3-8) put up 18 points in the final quarter when the Leopards managed 15.
To help pull back in the game, Liberty made 19 of 30 free throws to Hubbard's 8 of 14 at the foul line.
Brad Fletcher's game-high 34 points paced Liberty (3-12, 3-8). Fletcher actually matched Hubbard's output at the foul stripe -- 8 of 14.
Newton Falls 64, Girard 49: GIRARD -- Marty Hutchinson scored 22 points, while Jeff Stanley added 12 and John Sekora 11 for the Tigers (13-2, 9-2).
Walter Jones sparked the Indians with 25 points.
