BOARDMAN -- St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park was the setting at 5 p.m. Dec. 29 for the wedding of Laura Marie Stefko, 2951 Autumnwood Trail, Poland, and Brett Edward Miller, 8504 Summit Hills, Silver Springs, Md.
Parents of the bride are Robert and Peggy Stefko of the Poland address, and the groom is a son of Larry and Diane Miller, 892 Glen Park Road.
The Rev. Robert Hoover presided at the ceremony, and a reception was held afterward at Antone's Banquet Centre.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Florida. They are living in Silver Springs.
The brocade satin bodice of the bride's ivory strapless gown was adorned with crystals, and the satin A-line skirt extended into a chapel train.
Black gowns were worn by Sarah Stefko, the bride's twin sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Maria Miller, a sister of the groom, and Mara Gabis, the bride's cousin.
Jason Katz performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were David Evans and Anthony Lazzeri.
The bride and groom graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with bachelor's degrees, hers in business administration and his in music and performance.
The bride is an accountant with Capron and Associates in Bethesda, Md. The groom received a master's degree in music from Indiana University and is pursuing a doctorate at the University of Maryland, where he is employed as a graduate assistant.
