Jan. 17
Theft: Checks and cash were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of South Broad Street. A suspect admitted to police taking $40 in cash and cashing two checks to buy crack cocaine. He told police where the other checks could be found. Police found those and two glass pipes in a trash bin next to the residence.

Theft: A purse was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Burglary: A vase was stolen, but there were no signs of forced entry at a residence in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.
Theft: Two bags of meat were stolen from Giant Eagle by a suspect in a red pickup truck.

Theft: A CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Theft: Cigarettes were stolen by a man at Giant Eagle.
Theft: A female was accused of theft at Ames Department Store.

Criminal damaging: Tires were cut on a vehicle at residences in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive and the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Auto theft: A 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood was stolen from the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Fraud: A suspect attempted to obtain a credit card in Florida by using information on a resident of the 3000 block of Cannon Road.
Theft from auto: A fluorescent light was stolen from a vehicle in the 3000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Two tires were damaged in the 5000 block of Depauw Avenue and tires were cut in the 3000 block of Cannon Road, the 4000 block of Kirk Road and the 600 block of Purdue Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was broken in the 2000 block of Ardenwood Drive.
Theft: Prescription medication was stolen from a mailbox in the 2000 block of Birch Trace Drive.
Attempted break-in: Metal paneling was peeled back at Aadco Landscaping, 1117 S. Four Mile Run Road in what police say was an attempt to gain entry.

Theft: A purse was stolen from Briarfield Manor, 461 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Construction equipment was stolen from Eat'n Park on Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: A resident of the 2000 block of Evelyn Road reported the theft of money and jewelry Dec. 31.
Theft: A juvenile was accused of stealing cigarettes from Giant Eagle.
Criminal damaging: Tires were cut on a vehicle at Woodhurst Drive and Burkey Road.
Theft from auto: A radio was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Burglary: A .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun was reported taken from a residence in the 60 block of North Raccoon Road.
Theft: $21 in fuel was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
