GAMBLING CASE With up to 6 suspects, agent expects more

BOARDMAN -- The FBI probe of sports gambling in the area has four to six suspects at this time, but there will be more, said FBI Special Agent John Kane, head of the bureau's Boardman office.
The investigation, which has been under way for the past six to nine months, is not linked to fallen mob boss Lenny Strollo, but does have ties to organized crime, Kane said.
Over the weekend, $6,000 in cash, betting slips and other gambling records were seized during searches in Boardman, Struthers and Poland, Kane said. The records are under seal, he said.
Kane could not speculate when an indictment would be handed up.
