Allegheny coasts past Wooster, 75-54

WOOSTER -- Jamie Parone scored 18 points to lead four Allegheny players in double figures, as the Gators defeated Wooster 75-54 in a North Coast Athletic Conference women's basketball game Monday.
Meredith McDonough and Alyssa Hinkle recorded double-doubles for Allegheny (8-8, 4-4 NCAC). McDonough finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Hinkle had 11 points and 17 rebounds. Jessica Kankoski also scored 15 points for the Gators, who shot 49 percent (27-for-55) and out-rebounded Wooster 53-38.
Nara DeJesus paced the Scots (5-11, 1-8) with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Jen Flavin added 11 points and Kerri Horst scored 10. Wooster missed 21 of its first 24 shots and finished 19-for-68 (28 percent).
