GETTING IT RIGHT

The Vindicator reported Wednesday that Warren is trying to finish cleanup at the former Mahoningside Power Plant site on Summit Street and that an undisclosed company has expressed interest in "partnering" with the city. Officials have declined to name the company until plans are firm, and the paper said the city would not elaborate on what "partnering" entails. It is not a "mystery friend" as characterized in Wednesday's story. The city did explain that the company would help the city pay for cleanup because it has a vested interest in the project and may have owned the land at one time, making it partially liable for cleanup costs.
