Scouting report: The Penguins are coming off a 68-50 loss to then No. 24-ranked Butler at Beeghly. YSU is 3-3 at home this season. Senior guard Rafael Cruz is nearly back to full strength after a knee injury that has caused him to miss six games. Detroit is 2-8 on the road.
The series: Detroit has won seven of eight previous meetings, including 54-53 at Beeghly Center last year. YSU's only win in the series came in 1988.

YSU starters: Jen Perugini, 6-2 freshman forward (13 points per game, 11.2 rebounds per game); Cathy Hanek, 5-8 sophomore guard (7.5, 2-2); Jenny Horner, 6-2 senior center (10.1, 6.9); Maggie Johnston, 5-5 junior guard (7.8, 3.1); Heather Harris, 6-0 sophomore forward (12.9, 3.6).
Illinois-Chicago starters: Consuela Hall, 5-4 junior guard (4.4 ppg., 2.8 rpg.); LeKesha Williams, 5-6 junior guard (10.5, 4.1); Jaycie Chambers, 6-2 junior center (10.7, 6.3); Stesha Rhodes, 6-2 senior forward (9.3, 3.8); Charissa Green, 5-11 junior forward (6.8, 3.9).
Scouting report: The Penguins had their two-game Horizon League winning streak snapped last Sunday by Loyola of Chicago, 81-68 in Chicago. Perugini leads the Horizon League in rebounding and is ninth in the nation. Illinois-Chicago has had a week off since defeating Cleveland State 53-44 in its last contest.
The series: This will be the fifth meeting between the two teams with YSU holding a 3-1 advantage. The last time they met was in 1994 when both were members of the Mid-Continent Conference. That year they split with YSU winning 56-53 at Beeghly and the Flames winning 86-73 in Chicago.
